The owner of Skin Sensations Day Spa & Healing Arts Center has spent 5 of those years on Salt Spring, building her Grace Point Square business and helping people feel good about themselves. Her biggest challenge? "Getting the word out that looking after yourself should not be considered 'pampering'". Humphrys believes that spas and healing arts centers such as hers will see more clientelle as the public is more aware of the importance of stress management. Skin Sensations employs 5 full-time staff in a relaxing atmosphere with peaceful colours, a beautiful view of Ganges Harbour, professional and clean surroundings and friendly faces. Humphrys and her staff have become a feature of the annual Terry Fox Run, where they provide foot massages for participants after the events. |
