In today’s age “Organic” is the buzz word and people are becoming more and more obsessed with it. First it was organic food, then came organic fuel and now organic beauty products. One should not mix the concept of organic products with natural products. These are 2 totally different concepts.
Certified organic products are made with ingredients involving sustainable farming practices. These products do not use herbicides, pesticides and genetically modified organisms. Organic products do not use harmful additives or toxic chemicals. On the other hand natural beauty products are prepared from fruits, oils, honey etc. these ingredients may not be from organic source and may contain harmful pesticides.
Organic beauty products are just like food. In cooking, artificial flavors do not taste good as compared to real spices. Similarly beauty products are enhanced with organic ingredients as compared to artificial or manipulated articles. Organic products benefit in many ways, they save money and time as they can be prepared from ingredients available readily. If one has a sensitive skin, then using chemical based cosmetics could be harmful. In such case, organic beauty products come in the picture, being the only effective solution.
Ordinary products contain alcohol and lead which are extremely drying on the skin and cause many problems. On the other hand, organic products do not contain any downside or hidden ingredients and one can rest assured about the quality and ingredients one is getting.
Organic products may be expensive as they use risk free, safe technique. However one can also prepare them at home by using simple techniques or ingredients available at home. For E.g.- one can use Aloe Vera for intensive skin care as it nourishes the skin, it can also be used to treat hair problems, digestive problems etc. Similarly baking soda when rubbed on the body during shower removes blackheads and tomato juice applied on skin fights against oily areas.
There are many benefits and reasons of organic products being better than ordinary ones. In organic products one knows what they are getting and hence one can analyze its safety limits. It can be a bit expensive but your skin will love organic products and thereby you too. Organic products contribute to the betterment of environment as well. Hence, it is a win-win scenario!
